Should we be afraid of AI?
Artificial intelligence is making a strong entrance into our daily lives, and with it, a flood of questions:
- Will AI replace my job?
- Am I at risk of becoming just an assistant to algorithms?
- Or can AI actually help me work smarter, not harder?
These weren’t just abstract questions—they were real concerns voiced by real professionals, from doctors to educators, artists to entrepreneurs.
The goal? To understand how to use AI wisely, without falling into fear or blind trust.

Diving into the mini-conference: a room in turmoil
From the very first minutes, the atmosphere was set: curious, enthusiastic, yet tinged with concern.
“I hear about AI everywhere, but how can I actually use it in my daily work?” – Evelyne, school facilitator
“I’m a doctor, and I worry that automated diagnoses will dehumanise patient care.” – Carole, physician
So many questions, so many different stakes.
AI is neither a magic wand nor a monster hiding under the bed. It is a digital tool. The key is knowing how to use it effectively.
AI in the Service of Professions: Concrete Examples
Rather than discussing AI in theory, I chose to show how it is already being integrated into various sectors.
1. AI and health: a necessary adaptation or a risk of disappearance?
AI is already analysing medical data at incredible speed. It helps anticipate diagnoses, cross-reference information, and optimise patient record management.
But does it pose a threat to human relationships?
Carole, a physician at the conference: “I don’t want empathy and clinical observation to be replaced by an algorithm!”
And she’s right. AI will never replace a doctor’s intuition, but it can help them make better decisions, faster.
2. AI and Education: A Tool for Personalised Learning
Teachers are already seeing their students use ChatGPT to do their homework.
But instead of demonising the tool, why not integrate it intelligently?
For example: AI can tailor exercises to each student’s level, offer clear summaries, and even support language learning.
Richard, teacher: “How do we maintain critical thinking in students if they just copy without reflecting?”
The solution? Incorporate AI into lessons by teaching students how to ask the right questions and critically assess responses.
3. AI For Artists and Creators: A New Creative Palette
Far from killing creativity, AI can be a source of inspiration.
It generates visuals, suggests musical compositions, and assists in video editing.
Marie-Hélène, art therapist: At first, she came to gather information, curious but a novice about AI. And as the conversation progressed, she discovered that AI could be a tool like any other, to be handled with intelligence.
AI doesn’t replace the artist; it provides new tools for artistic expression.
4. AI & therapists: reclaiming time through smarter organisation
From automating repetitive tasks to structuring workflows, AI is revolutionizing how companies operate. But strategy is key.
But strategy is key.
The difference between success and failure? Knowing where and how to implement AI effectively without losing the human touch.
In this context of transformation, artificial intelligence is prompting every profession to reassess itself:
Necessary adaptation or risk of disappearance?
The Big Question: Opportunity or Threat?
I won’t replace humans, but… Humans who know how to use AI will replace those who don’t.
So the real question is:
Will you adapt and leverage AI strategically? Or will you resist and risk falling behind?
And you – where do you stand with AI?
I help businesses turn AI into a real asset—from practical training to AI strategy and implementation.
