Read with intention. Work with awareness. Return to presence.

Slow down, recentre, and reclaim quality in how we connect professionally.

Read with intention. Work with awareness. Return to presence.

What if lack of attention was no longer a minor detail?

What if the way we read, respond and interpret actually reflected the vibrational state of our world?

This piece invites a shift in perception.

To feel what our relationship with information is really telling us.

When an automatic email reveals information fatigue

On the morning of June 4th, some of my contacts received an automatic message.

An old reminder.

About an event that had taken place months ago.

Apparently, a bug in Google Calendar.

But it wasn’t the technical glitch that struck me.

It was what it triggered.

Replies without reading.

Instant confusion.

Misinterpretations.

The title said it all.

The date.

The context.

But no one read it.

Information overload and diminished attention at work

I remember my computer science studies in the early 2000s.

We were already being warned about information overload.

We were told: a time will come when the sheer abundance of information will make true reading impossible.

That time is now.

People don’t read anymore.

They skim.

They react.

They interpret.

Even those you're considering serious collaboration with.

And that… is a real signal.

Half-reading: when professional presence falters

I’m not above it.

I’ve been caught by it too.

A client mentioned two possible dates for our next session.

The 13th. Then the 20th.

I read too quickly.

I noted the first one.

And stayed with that.

Because my brain had already decided.

We’re all caught in it.

But what matters is what we do next.

I acknowledged the mistake.

I clarified.

I proposed to re-centre the conversation in an email.

A clear channel.

A trace.

An anchor.

What this says about our attention ecology

We rush.

We skim.

We fly over.

And in this race, we forget that connection, trust, and clarity — are built through presence.

Through respecting the exchange.

Through consciously choosing to respond from a centred space.

I don’t believe technology is the issue.

I believe it’s our presence in the relationship to information that’s faltering.

Choosing conscious practice and aligned communication

I deleted Facebook.

I left Instagram.

I curate what I read.

I only monitor information when I truly feel the need.

I filter.

I simplify.

I breathe.

Because I know my energy is precious.

Because I know clarity must be cultivated.

And because I can’t be strategic in the midst of chaos.

Do you still truly read? (An act of conscious leadership)

I ask this to open a space.

Because sometimes, it only takes reading with intention…

to feel what needs to be transformed.
